The Cat, the Dog and the Baby

I have been very busy...honest!
I had 2 commissions and one prize to paint.
The prize was the lovely (sometimes naughty) Gizmo for Simone who won my give away way back in February!

Then there was a commission for a christening gift for a work colleague

and last but certainly not least was Bertie a lovely little character painted for Jo.

See I told you I had been busy!

  1. Fantastic paintings Lyn! You have had so many compliments of your painting of Gizmo. My auntie thought it was stunning! The other paintings are equally stunning but Bertie's character shines through! x

  4. Lovely portrait of Bertie, Lyn. I have just been to visit Jo and seen the original and your pencil sketch. He was such a lovely dog, a real character and you have portrayed that beautifully. Dear little Bert! Marsha x

  11. How lovely Lyn, you are so talented, and yes, you have been busy. Your art is to be admired.

Thanks for the very nice comment on my father-in-law's Normandy post. How poignant to visit your granddads grave when you visit there. My granddad was a prisoner-of-war in WWI. And there is another granddad I know, that of my brother-in-law and sister's husband, who is also buried in France.

  15. Goodness, I see I have already said that, which I would have seen if I had looked up before I posted ;) A little tired tonight obviously. You don't need to publish these again. Enjoy your Sunday and I hope you will be able to relax and put your feet up.

  16. Thank you for your kind comment on my blog Lyn. Your portraits are excellent - I particularly like the one of the dog. You have captured it's gentle expression perfectly. The child must have been the hardest to do - getting that baby look is so difficult.
