.....I also enjoy doing paintings and drawings of buildings. The above drawing is the back of our old house. My friend Shan had the drawing printed into cards for me.
This is an unfinished watercolour of Lee Cottage.
And this is a watercolour I painted as a commission for a friend of a friend as a wedding present. The building is Scaitcliffe Hall in Todmorden.
I did get chance this weekend to do a quick watercolour of a cat for an elderly gentleman who is unwell at the moment. The cat is Nadolig and the gentleman is Mr Glyn Griffiths.
What beautiful watercolours - I love Lee Cottage, wish I could live in it!
ReplyDeleteI'd seen Nadolig during my blog travels to the world of ginger cats, this will mean so much to his owner.xx
These are just beautiful Lynn... I had know idea you were so gifted or this blog was readily available to view your creativity.

What wonderful work, Lyn. I think you would make a terrific illustrator for picture books!
ReplyDeleteI admire your watercolours and paintings. These are beautiful houses. I also can imagine that you could illustrate a picture book...maybe with a lovely pet story?

ReplyDeleteYour work is fantastic Lyn. I feel that my work pales into insignifigance against yours. That is why I have to practise, practise, practise!!! x

I had the delightful surprise to see this portrait of Nadolig. I sent Glynn a birthday card last week, per Jackie's idea. These stories make the blog world a friendly place.
ReplyDeleteHi from me in California.
Very nice watercolours, you have kept them fresh with a nice light touch, it's so easy to overwork the medium, good stuff.
