Over Christmas I managed to finish Sammy's portrait.

It was for a raffle prize for Saving Rare Breeds

And as usual the winner had to wait a little while before I got my act together!

But he is all done now and on his way to meet the real Sammy!

I am on half term this coming week and plan to finish a watercolour of this fine looking doggie.

This is the second portrait which has now arrived with it's owner so I can show a photo.

This is Archie and he is a very handsome chap.

I did a watercolour and a pencil sketch.

Marsha loved them and I have to say he was a dream to do as she had sent me such clear photographs which always helps but I understand when this is not possible.

I posted Judy's pet portrait a few weeks ago and she very kindly telephoned me from the USA today to say she had received it and was pleased with it.

Yes I managed to sit down and start the two paintings I have been trying to do for months. One is for Judy of her lovely Border Collie, Maggie.

The workroom is ready to work in!

The other is for Marsha, of her handsome dog Archie.

My new workroom is almost ready.
This means that I will be able to get my things out of storage and get on with some paintings. I have two lovely dogs lined up ready to paint.

They have very patient owners!

(he didn't have very fine whiskers though, a bit short and stubby!)

.....I also enjoy doing paintings and drawings of buildings. The above drawing is the back of our old house. My friend Shan had the drawing printed into cards for me.

This is an unfinished watercolour of Lee Cottage.

And this is a watercolour I painted as a commission for a friend of a friend as a wedding present. The building is Scaitcliffe Hall in Todmorden.

I did get chance this weekend to do a quick watercolour of a cat for an elderly gentleman who is unwell at the moment. The cat is Nadolig and the gentleman is Mr Glyn Griffiths.

This is my latest watercolour. This is Toffee my mums dog, I have painted it as a present for her for Christmas. ( don't ask me why Blogger has made it look like it's going downhill!) She is getting on a bit now and has fine white hairs in the black on her face. She has huge ears she uses like radar and is very bouncy!

I had an idea, a thought, someone had planted a seed, a vision was conceived, something dawned on me......

I talked about my paintings and crafts on my blog and had lots of lovely comments about my work.

and so I will 'advertise' here on this blog and see what happens, nothing ventured-nothing gained!
